Secondary School Teachers' Job Satisfaction: A Mixed Research Method

This study aims to investigate secondary school teachers’ job satisfaction levels with the convergent method, one of mixed research methods. The quantitative part was conducted 330 participating teachers, and ‘Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale’, developed by Weiss, Dawis, England Lofquist (1967) adapted Turkish Baycan (1985), used. In qualitative study, a semi-structured interview form used consisting 4 questions reveal intrinsic extrinsic factors participants. addition, gender, branch, professional experience, educational level variables were in study. As result, general participants “satisfied”, their “uncertain”. When data analyzed, appreciation, success, promotion, merit, recognition, motivation, responsibility respectively affecting participants’ satisfaction, payment, management, working conditions, justice living standards satisfaction.
